Social Benefits
The basic social benefits for the Israeli worker are:
1. Severance pay equivalent to one month's salary for each year of employment for workers with at least one year's seniority.
2. Vacation – from 12 days annual vacation (for workers with one year's seniority), to 24 days per year (for workers with 14 years seniority or more). Vacation entitlement is cumulative and is subject to cash reimbursement if not fully utilized on termination of employment.
3. Vacation Grants – US$380 per year for a worker with one year's seniority to US$760 per year for worker with 20 or more year's seniority, as an annual vacation grant.
4. Sickness – a worker is entitled to 1.5 days sickness absence with pay for each working month. Payment is calculated on the basis of 75% of the worker's salary and a lower rate for the first three days of sickness.
